POM, PMMA

SABIC advance plastics (POM, PMMA) are a family of 2 new polymers products. POLYOXYMETHYLENE (POM) which is commonly known as ACETAL or POLYACETAL. It is a thermoplastic material that features high strength, exceptional dimensional stability, low friction coefficient, and excellent wear properties, making POM fit for high-tech applications that requires precision and durability. POLYACETAL has a wide range of applications in different segments such as Automotive, Industrial, Electrical, and Appliances. In automotive applications, they are mainly used for fuel pump, fuel cap, seat belt.

SABITAL is a series of POLYACETAL glass-fiber filled grades at different concentrations, enhancing its mechanical properties.
Polymethyl methacrylate is commonly known as PMMA. It is an amorphous thermoplastic material that exhibits high clarity and light transmittance, even higher than glass. It also provides great scratch resistance and hardness. PMMA makes a perfect replacement to glass for better performance and weight reduction. PMMA has a wide range of applications in different segments such as Automotive, Industrial, Building & Construction, Electrical, and Appliances. In automotive applications, it is mainly injection molded for Tail light, and interior lighting whereas in construction, it is mainly extruded as sheets for decoration & Glazing.
